1988

It all began in 1988 with one class of 23 primary students, one teacher, and a commitment to Godly education. Since then Abundant Life School has developed, through both parent and community support, to become an excellent alternative for both primary and secondary education for Christian families in the Far North.

The school was established by the Kaitaia Abundant Life Centre Trust in 1988 and became a registered private primary school in 1989. In 1992 Kaitaia Abundant Life School was registered as a private secondary school and on 1 April 1996 became an integrated area school for students from new entrants to Year 13. 

1998

Small classes, high expectations and personal accountability have contributed to the success of past students, many whom have gone on to university, tertiary training, teaching, nursing, professional sport and many other trades and occupations throughout New Zealand.

2008

Twenty years on, the school continues to grow.
